The company has established a complete industry chain for TCM, which includes resource development, advanced manufacturing, modern logistics, and new drug creation. The company operates more than 30 subsidiaries and large-scale production bases across China. It has also become a prominent player in the health industry, providing a range of products, including TCM preparations, health supplements, and functional foods, while creating over 10,000 jobs in China.


Project Background


Since its establishment, Xianxue Pharmaceutical has experienced rapid business growth. However, the company’s management approach has been largely informal and experience-based, which no longer supports the company’s need for sustainable development. The leadership recognizes the necessity for a more structured approach to management to ensure continued growth. The company’s leadership is eager to enhance the management capabilities of its staff to meet the fast-paced development needs of the business.


Project Process


The project included the following key steps:

Identifying Key Issues: After conducting research, several issues were identified within the management system, including weak sense of responsibility, poor customer awareness, lack of clear management guidelines, and insufficient talent development.

Root Cause Analysis: The underlying issue was identified as an inadequate management system for the staff, which limited the ability to fully harness their management potential.

Solution Approach: A new, competitive, and evolving management system was proposed, aimed at improving management awareness and capability, and ensuring long-term organizational success.

Implementation: Through a series of surveys, training, and workshops, management staff’s awareness and capabilities were significantly improved. A structured management framework was developed, and the competency criteria for managers were defined.
